Jane Connelly, nee McArthur, 84, resident of Deerfield, IL since 1964, passed into a better life on December 11, 2012. Mrs. Connelly was born on February 4, 1928 to the late Marie, nee Eshpeter and Harry McArthur in Lincoln, NE. As a child, she loved the arts and also loved to dance. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1949 where she was active in several organizations, including the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Mortar Board and Gamma Alpha Chi (a national advertising sorority). She met her late husband, John Connelly, while working on the University’s Huskers Yearbook. They were married on December 23, 1949. Mrs. Connelly is survived by her four children, Kathleen Schueler, John (Susan), Michael (Frances) and Bruce (Barbara Bruch); her eight grandchildren, Sara (Kevin) Graham, James Schueler III, Michael Schueler, Christopher Connelly, Brian Connelly, Jennifer Connelly-Bowen (Adam Bowen), Jacquelyn Connelly and Lucas Connelly; and her older sister, Gertrude Weber.
